7 Electrical System Service
Component Location & Replacement
PTO Clutch
See Figure 2.
For replacement procedure, see Section 14 PTO
CLUTCH SERVICE.
Foot Pedal Switches
See Figure 2.
1. Disconnect and secure the negative battery cable.
See DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES,
Section 6.
2. Label and disconnect the wire harness.
3. Squeeze the tabs on the side of the switch while
pushing the switch up through the frame.
4. Insert a new switch through the frame and snap into
place. Reconnect the wire harness.
Transmission Switch
See Figure 3.
1. Disconnect and secure the negative battery cable.
See DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES,
Section 6.
2. Disconnect the wire harness from the switch termi-
nals.
3. Using a 7/8” socket, turn the switch counterclockwise
to remove from the transmission casing. Remove the
O-ring and shim washer from the switch.
4. Install the gasket on the new switch and thread into
the transmission casing. Reconnect the wire har-
ness.
Circuit Breaker
See Figure 4.
1. Disconnect and secure the negative battery cable.
See DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES,
Section 6.
2. Disconnect the wires from the terminals.
3. Remove the capscrew securing the body of the circuit
breaker.
4. Install a new circuit breaker and secure using the
capscrew removed in step 3.
5. Reattach the wires disconnected in step 2.
NOTE: The posts are marked “BAT” and AUX.” The
BAT post should be connected to the battery via the
solenoid. The AUX post should be connected to the key
switch.
Solenoid
See Figure 4.
1. Disconnect and secure the negative battery cable.
See DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES,
Section 6.
2. Disconnect the two large wires and 2 small wires
from the solenoid.
3. Remove the two capscrews securing the solenoid.
4. Install a new solenoid and secure using the cap-
screws removed in step 3.

5. Reattach the two large wires to the large posts.
NOTE: Either wire may be attached to either post.
6. Reattach the two small wires to the two small posts.
NOTE: Either wire may be attached to either post.
