You can abort the self–test at any time by pressing
(ex-
cept during the key test).
The RAM is tested at the beginning of the self–test. The
result of the RAM test is displayed.
You enter the display test from the RAM test by pressing
the
key.
After the “Display test” display, a string of characters and
digits appear. You can shift these to the right or left with the
cursor to check whether the characters are correctly dis-
played at each position.
Press the
key to get into the key test from the display
test.
You are prompted to press the keys displayed. The keypad
is a 5x5 matrix with the first digit denoting the line and the
second digit the column. 1.1. corresponds to the
key
and 1.3 to the
key. Press each key displayed within 5
seconds, proceeding line by line.
If you press the wrong key or do not press the key displayed
within 5 seconds or if the key is defective, an error message
appears under the “
press key: #.#
” line.
When you have checked all 25 keys, a message appears to
tell you how many key errors have occurred. You can exit
the test program by pressing
, which returns you to the
main menu.
