Adding Text Annotations to Studies
Text labels can be added and saved to images.
To add text annotations or a pointer to an image screen:
1. Press the
Text Soft Key.
2. Use the controls described in the Text Annotation Functions table to add text labels.
3. To exit Text mode, press the
Exit Text
Soft Key. When you save an image with text
annotations, the text will be saved with the image.
NOTE: Text cannot be added to images displayed in View mode.

Text Function Description
New Creates a new text label.
Use the on-screen keyboard or an external keyboard to type the text and
add it to the list.
Exit Text Closes the Text menu.
Clear Clears all text labels on the current image.
Pointer Use the pointer to select a location for the text label. Provides an arrow
point to place in an area of interest.
Use the Trackball to position the pointer, then press the left Trackball
button to place it in the area of interest. The small (inner) Rotary knob may
be used to rotate the orientation of the arrow in Annotation mode.
Text List Provides a list of the text entries that have been created on the system.
These are presented in most recently used order. The small Rotary knob
highlights entries in the text list. When you have highlighted the desired
entry, press the left Trackball button to activate the term so it can be placed
in the image using the Trackball. You can also directly activate the entry by
clicking on it in the list using the Trackball.
Right Mouse Key
Removes a highlighted entry from the text list.
