Current measured value
Current measuring range (measuring range end value)
1
Set range: Ambient pressure ±50 mbar; greater deviations trigger a malfunction message (system failure)
2
determines the suction capacity of the ejector pump
3
Backpressure upstream from the sample gas capillary; is kept constant in relation to the ambient pressure

Current measured value
Current measuring range (measuring range end value)
The “factor” is calculated from Q1 and Q2 and other individually determined
characteristic parameters of the ejector pump. The dimensionless “factor”
represents the hypothetically determined measured value of a test gas, which
contains approx. 8,000 ppm C

. The “factor” is used to compensate the
variable dilution of the sample gas in the ejector pump.
In addition the current “factor” is constantly compared with the threshold
values:
– If the “factor” drops below the lower threshold value, this is interpreted as
filter soiling (sample gas intake faulty).
– If the “factor” exceeds the upper threshold value, the EuroFID issues a
warning against implausible measured values.
