ABOUT THE SPF
If a SPF is installed, you can load multiple sheet originals (up to the sheet limit) in the SPF. The
originals will be automatically scanned one-by-one into memory. As there is need to load each sheet
manually, this saves times when faxing multi-page originals.
If the optional RSPF is installed, two-sided originals can be automatically scanned into memory. (See
page 106)
Originals that can be Used
Thickness and weight of originals that can be loaded in the SPF
The weight of originals that can be loaded in the SPF is 15 to 24 lbs. A maximum of 30 pages can be
loaded if the pages are all the same size and the maximum stack thickness is not exceeded.
If you load a long original, the original must be in direct contact with the tray (no other pages under it).
Otherwise, the wrong original size may be detected.
Important
●
Be sure to use originals that are of standard size and weight (thickness). Non-standard
originals may jam.
●
Remove any clips and staples from originals before loading them.
●
Make sure that any glue, ink, or correcting fluid on an original has dried completely before
loading the original. Otherwise, the inside of the machine and scanning glass may be soiled.
●
Load an original with file-binding holes (two-holed or three-holed originals) so that the side with
the holes enters the feeder first as shown below, or so that the side with holes is aligned along
the original guides.
