Interface Description
This description has been written for users who wish
to connect their Sartorius MC balance to a computer
or a different peripheral device via the balance’s
standard V24/V28 RS-232C(-S)*)/423 interface.
By using an on-line computer, you can change,
activate and monitor the functions of the balance and
the application programs.
In addition, you can plug an external, universal
remote-control switch into the data interface port
to activate these functions: print (data transfer),
open/close the draft shield,
f
or
F
key function,
or tare.
The data interface also provides data output port lines
for various application programs.
If you interface an original Sartorius accessory
device, such as a Sartorius Data Printer or
a similar unit, with a balance that has the factory-set
menu codes, you do not need to change
any settings.
