To capture images of people with night scenery in the background
œ
By using the flash and a slow shutter speed together, the foreground subject and background
night scenery will both be captured well. With a slow shutter speed, the flash lights when the
shutter opens so the foreground people are captured and the shutter stays open for a long
exposure so the dark background is also captured.
NOTE
œ
When setting a slow shutter speed, it is recommended to use a tripod or other means to
prevent the digital disk camera from moving.
œ
When setting a slow shutter speed, there are rare occasions when small points of light are also
captured. This is a characteristic of the imaging element and not a malfunction.
