C.- Instructions for use
The CM-315 is a professional machine designed for cutting wood.
1.- Before starting the CM-315 it is important to carefully read, understand
and observe these instructions in order to guarantee the safety of the
operator and other people in the vicinity, and ensure the prolonged and
safe useful life of the machine.
2.- When unpacking the machine, check that no pieces are damaged or
broken. If any are, use original replacements. Electrical components
should be replaced with elements of the same reference. In case of any
doubts, consult the manufacturer.
3.- Take care with the working environment. It is recommended that the
machine is used on flat surfaces and is well positioned on the floor befo-
re starting work, thus ensuring safe working conditions.
4.- Wear goggles, gloves and other protection while using the machine.
5.- It is recommended that all the instructions for use are respected for
any potentially dangerous jobs. If not, the machine should not be swit-
ched on. [Se aconseja en todo momento respetar las instrucciones de
uso para que un trabajo que pudiera resultar peligroso y que en ningún
momento puede ponerse en funcionamiento -esta frase no parece
tener sentido]
6.- Check that the mains tension and frequency are the same as those indi-
cated on the machine's nameplate.
7.-
The mains power supply outlet includes an earth connection and pro-
tection against current leakage (differential). When using an extension
cord, check that the wiring is no thinner than 2.5mm with double insu-
lation.
8.- Select the appropriate tool for each type of job. Do not use any tool
for jobs they are not designed to do. Do not force a small tool to a job
that a heavier duty tool should be used for. Do not use tools for other
purposes than those specified. Use the correct tools provided to move
the wood during cutting operations.
9.- Keep cutting tools clean and sharp in order for better and safer perfor-
mance.
10.- Position the sawtable face downward (Fig.2). Connect the four sup-
port legs (Fig.2) in each corner of the upside down sawtable using the
nuts and bolts provided. Connect the two long leg clamps [anclajes –
fasteners? braces?] to the support legs and fasten using the nuts and
bolts provided. Place the cork fittings on the ends of each of the four
legs (Fig.2.4). Check the security of the nuts and bolts and tighten if
necessary.
11.- The CM-315 is supplied with a set of wheels for facilitating movement
around the workshop. Connect the wheels to the two back support
legs by fitting the two grips (Fig.3) using the nuts and bolts provided.
12.- Two elevation handles are supplied with hinges so that the machine can
easily be lifted and moved to another location. The two handles are fit-
ted to the two front legs (Fig.4). Fit the two handles using the four nuts
and bolts provided.
13.- Connect the ON/OFF switch to the support in the corresponding ori-
fice (Fig.5). Make sure the switch is connected with the green ‘on’ but-
ton to the top (Fig. 5). Connect using the nuts and bolts provided. Make
sure that the emergency stop cover is present.
14.- Connect the dust extraction adaptor (Fig.7) to the outlet in the motor
/ blade casing [alojamiento de la disco] ((Fig.7) using the hexagonal bolts
provided. Connect the small pipe to the side inlet (Fig.7). Do not
attempt to connect the other end of the pipe yet.
15.- In order to position the rip guide channel [canal de la guía de cortar el hilo]
(Fig.8) you must first remove the two external bolts (Fig.9) that hold the
front legs to the table. Position the rip guide and the guide channel and
hold them in place, and re-screw the external bolts into the legs.
16.- The long channel of rip guide can be positioned on the side of the table
in a similar way to the positioning of the front channel of the rip guide.
17.- The blade protection is equipped with a dust extraction outlet that
should be fitted to the machine at all times. Align the orifice on the back
with the orifice on the top of the riving knife [guarda para cortar]
(Fig.14). Attach the blade protection using the screws provided. With
the blade protection securely positioned, you can position the extrac-
tion hose to the dust extraction outlet (Fig.15). Check that the blade
protection works, making sure that it can operate freely.
18.- The CM-315 is supplied with a table extension that can be positioned
on either side or at the back of the table. You will need the help of ano-
ther person to attach the extension table to the back of the saw bench
(Fig.16). Align the orifices and attach using nuts and bolts (Fig.17).
19.- All of the blades of the cutting disks are very sharp, and care must be
taken when handling them. Whenever possible, use adequate gloves.
Lift the blade to its highest point (Fig.20/27). Remove the table insert by
removing the six sunk screws (Fig.20), and extract the back of the table
insert, first using the finger-hole. With the table insert withdrawn, find
the orifice for accessing the spindle lock rod [varilla de enclavamiento
del husillo]. Carefully turn the blade manually until the orifice is lined up
with the access orifice. Slot the spindle lock rod through the access ori-
fice, and make sure that it is located in the input flange [brida de accio-
namiento]. Using the blade removal key [llave de retirada de la disco],
remove the screw that attaches the blade (clockwise). Remove the
blade retention flange [brida de retención de la disco]. Thoroughly
clean the two flanges and the motor axis.
20.- Place the new [mueva debe ser nueva?] blade on the motor axis, making
sure that the blade is placed with its teeth facing downwards when vie-
wed from the front of the machine (Fig.21). Position the retention flan-
ge, making sure that the orifices (Fig.22) are positioned over the ears
[orejetas] at the end of the motor axis. Position the screw that attaches
the blade and squeeze in with your fingers. Make sure that the axis lock
rod [varilla de enclavamiento del eje] is located in the input flange and
totally fasten the screw that attaches the blade.
Note. During use, periodically check that the blade is tightly fastened.
21.- The motor of the CM-315 is equipped with a blade friction brake, in order
to reduce the speed of the blade when the machine is disconnected.
22.- In order to raise and lower the blade, find the knob located below and
in front of the upper part of the table (Fig.24). To raise the blade, turn
it clockwise, and to lower it, turn anticlockwise.
23.- The CM-315 is equipped with a system by which the blade can be tilted
to make cuts of between 0º and 45º.
To tilt the blade set (Fig.27.1), loosen the two knobs and select the cut-
ting angle using the scale located just above the front knob (Fig.27.2).
Antes de pôr em funcionamento a Máquina, deve estar completamente
certificado de que a sua utilização não supõe qualquer risco para o ope-
rário que a vai utilizar, nem para as pessoas situadas à volta.
Before starting the Cutting-off machine, you must be completely sure that its
use does not suppose any risk either to the operator using it or any other peo-
ple in the vicinity.
Always make sure that the machine is correctly connected to the mains and
the protections are installed.
1.- With the material to be cut placed on the table and supported in the
guide, move it manually or with the help of the pusher towards the cut-
ting disk. Never use the machine without protections, or when said pro-
tections have been modified.
2.- Do not lift the disk protection to make the cut, as it is the piece itself
during displacement that will lift it.
3.- If cutting a small object, never use your hand, as that would expose it to
risk due to proximity to the cutting disk.
Use the pusher for this operation, as shown in the figure to the left.
4.- To make a diagonal cut, place the gauge [regla] in the position described
in previous sections. Make the cut by moving the gauge longitudinally,
always ensuring that the gauge never touches the cutting disk.
Considerations for cutting boards and long pieces
The CM-315 can be overforced when used to cut boards. If the material being
cut gets stuck, do not move it until the machine has been disconnected.
The material being cut must always be supported on the machine table and in
parallel to the same, otherwise the machine could work incorrectly.
