3.1.7 Setup “iSCSI Initiator” Menu Functions
These features allow you to configure iSCSI targets by assigning view a list of all the iSCSI server
portals. Click on the portal IP to manage portal targets or remove the portal.
Function: Add new portal server fig 3.1.7a
This function allows you to connect to a remote iSCSI server / target and add it as a New Portal Server.
It will be added as an iSCSI portal on the left column. You can use the following options:
Portal IP:
Please enter IP address of iSCSI server/target
Portal Port
Enter Port on which iSCSI server runs(default 3260)
CHAP enable
If you want to enable CHAP user authentication please check box CHAP enable and
enter CHAP user name and its secret.

This is where you can change the name and the alias for a iSCSI initiator name.

This function displays available targets for the selected iSCSI portal server. In order to connect to an
iSCSI target, select its name and click the
Connect
button. If target authentication is enabled,
then enter the CHAP username and its secret. Connected targets will be available in
CONFIGURATION -> Volume manager
as units. You can manage them as you would local units.
