Radar Positioning Measurements
The typical procedure when measuring a radar position is as follows:
1. Start the R&S
QAR to start the system and the software.

3. Measure the DUT.

Test Setup
For radar positioning measurements, the test setup consists of the R&S
QAR and the
DUT, for example a radar module installed behind the bumper of a car. To measure the
position of the radar module, you simply park the car in front of the R&S
QAR. Make
sure to park the car at the correct position as indicated in
surement results.

The optimal distance to the front of the car depends on the location of the radar mod-
ule relative to the radome's location on the car.

The distance between R&S
QAR and radar module is between 60
cm and 80
cm.
●
The distance from floor to radar module is between 34
cm and 68
cm.
●
The offset of the radar module relative to the center of the R&S
QAR panel is
14.5
cm to the right of the center of the panel.
