6. Reconnect the machine to its power source and turn the main power switch ON.
7. Enter the SP mode and set SP5985-1 to “1” (Device Setting: Onboard NIB).
8. Set SP5985-2 (Device Setting: Onboard USB) to “1.”
9. Do a memory clear for the Scanner option ( SP5801-009 ). After the Memory Clear, if
the customer wishes to use a language other than English, change the email language
setting in User Tools
.
10. Turn the machine power OFF/ON.
11. Print a Configuration Page to make sure that the machine recognizes the installed
board:
User Tools> Printer Features> List/Test Print> Configuration Page
ƒ If the customer intends to use the Ratio external controller from the PC side, the
GW controller scanner option can be used and does not need to be removed from
the main machine.
ƒ If the GW printer option has been moved to the scanner SD card, be sure to
remove the printer option SD card.

Installation
ƒ Before doing the procedure, turn off the main power switch and unplug the
machine from its power source.
1. Make sure that the machine is switched off and disconnected from its power source.
2. If the folder unit is installed, disconnect it and pull it away from the main machine.
