5.6 ERASE LAMP CONTROL TIMING
(Upper paper tray, black development unit)
T1: When the start key is pressed, the main motor and all the blocks of the
erase lamp unit turn on simultaneously.
T2: The timing is corrected twice according to the combination of the
selected development unit and the paper feeding station. (The above
timing is for the combination of the black development unit and the upper
paper tray.)
T3: The charge corona turns on for the original image 330ms after
correction 2.
T4: The erase lamp unit changes its mode from the lead edge erase to the
side erase 611ms after correction 2. This side erase period differs
depending on the paper size. (In case of the full size mode):
Paper size Period
A3 2,355ms
B4 2,044ms
A4 lengthwise 1,650ms
A4 sideways 1,189ms
T5: The charge corona turns off when the scanner starts the return
movement. 98ms after that the erase lamp changes its mode from the
side erase to the trail edge erase.
T6: The erase lamp and the main motor turn off simultaneously.
