11.1.3 CF Memory Error Codes
The following table summarizes errors that occurred while the PSC7000 controller is
accessing the CF Memory Card. When an error occurs, the PSC7000 controller will be
reset, and the system will be terminated.

Flash memory

An error occurred when user data
read out from the CF Memory
Card starts to be saved in flash
memory of the PSC7000
controller.
Restart the PSC7000 controller then
read or write again.
F904 Version error
User data read out from the CF
Memory Card and version of the
PSC7000 controller are not
compatible with each other.
Save the user data in the CF Memory
Card again.
F905 CRC error
CRC is not properly working
when user data is read from the
CF Memory Card.
Restart the PSC7000 controller then
read or write again.
F940
Communication
error
A communication error occurred
between the CF Memory Card
and PSC7000 controller. The
current session has been
stopped.
Restart the PSC7000 controller then
read or write again.
F941 CF timeout
An error occurred in the CF
Memory Card for some reason.
1) Restart the PSC7000 controller
then read or write again.
2) Replace the CF Memory Card.
3) Replace the PSC7000 control
card.
F942 CF read only
Attributes of OS or task file is
write-protected.
Remove write protection.
F980
Battery backup
memory error
Write processing: An error
occurred when data is written into
the battery backup memory area
(containing the NV_MEMDEF
definition variable, NV_LOCAL
definition variable, and error
debug log).
Power on: An error occurred
when power supply is turned on
with no guarantee of backup
memory content.
Write processing: Restart the
PSC7000 controller then make sure
that the NV_MEMDEF definition
variable, NV_LOCAL definition
variable, and error debug log are
correct.
Power on: Clear the error as follows:
For the OS version 1.00 or after,
restart the PSC7000 controller by
holding down the reset switch at least
three seconds.
For the OS version 1.00 or before,
download OS again by using the CF
Memory Card.
If the problem remains unsolved,
replace the DSP module and/or its
battery.
