4.8 External Wiring for PG Modules
CE Mark Requirements:
When the PG modules mounted on the slots, wiring must meet the following requirements:
- Shielded cable must be used.
- Shielded cable must be in touch with the ground at least 10mm before the exit of the
cabinet.

External circuit connected to the PG modules must be SELV*.
SELV:Safety Extra Low Voltage. Secondary circuit that is designed to be safely separated
from other circuits that carry higher voltages, isolated from earth and isolated from the
protective earth conductors of other circuits. Under normal operating conditions or single
fault conditions, the voltage (between circuit components that the user may accidentally
come in contact with or between metal components that may be grounded and earth) should
not exceed a safe value 42.4Vpeak or generate 42.4Vpeak or higher.
4.9 Installation of PSC7000
It is important to properly plan before installing a unit to ensure that the environmental
conditions and operating conditions of the unit are satisfactory.
Select a humidity and temperature controlled environment that meets the requirements
given in the technical specifications.
If there are
effects of electrical noise exposure, it is necessary to implement noise control
measures. The installation environment must be
“Pollution Degree 2” defined by EN
standard.
* Pollution degree 2: Normally, only non-conductive pollution occurs. Temporary
conductivity caused by condensation is to be expected.
4.9.1
Selection of Installation Site and Environment
In properly planning for the installation of a unit, the following things should be considered:
- Do not install a unit in a place subject to direct sunlight, high temperature, heat and
humidity.
- Keep away from excessive vibrations, shock, electrical noise, high magnetic field,
noise-generating instruments, electronic devices and components.

The site should be clean, cool and dry.

Keep the site away from oil mist, metallic powder, dust, other floating particles, corrosive
gas, and inflammable gas.

The area should allow space required for proper air flow.

Ambient temperature of the unit should be within a range of 0 to +55 degrees C.
- Relative humidity should be within a range of 20% to 85% without condensation.
