8 Connection to PSC Terminal
The PSC terminal is software for programming and maintenance of user tasks of the
PSC7000 controller. The PSC terminal is provided on a CD-ROM to be installed into your
computer. For information on how to install and operate the PSC terminal, see the operating
instructions manual of the PSC terminal.
The USB cable or the DSC programming cable is used to connect the PSC7000 controller
and computer. The USB cable is suitable for high speed communication.
8.1 USB Cable
The B-type USB cable approved by the USB-IF is used to connect the PSC7000 controller
and your computer.
First, connect the B-type connector side of the USB cable to the terminal connector of the
PSC7000 Control Card. You can connect or disconnect the USB cable while power supply of
the PSC7000 controller is turned on. Be aware that disconnection of the USB cable during
download can cause data corruption and erratic operation.
Then attach the A-type connector side of the USB cable to the USB connector of your
computer.
