6 Battery Change
The battery for the DSP module holds nonvolatile variables.
When the front LED light of
“BAT.OK” LED goes off, change the battery without turning off
power supply. Take the steps as described in Section 6.1 and 6.2.
If the battery is changed while power supply of the PSC7000 controller is disconnected, a
backup power supply to the memory buffer will temporarily be disconnected, resulting in
the loss of the nonvolatile variables. Be sure to change the battery while PSC7000 is
powered on, so user tasks will be protected.
6.1 DSPM-1A
Be sure to use and replace with the Panasonic battery only. The use of any other batteries
can affect the performance of the PSC7000 controller.
BR-AGC2P (Panasonic, Part No. of Reliance: B40370861XXX)
Panasonic guarantees that the battery will last about 5 years. After 5 years of use, it is
recommended to change the battery regardless of the remaining voltage level.
1) Remove the screws on the top and bottom of the battery compartment.
