TYPICAL WASTE WATER SYSTEM
Overview
Th e waste water system on your vessel is located in
the sump. Note on later yachts a metal tank provides
waste storage. Besides the tank the system may feature
two toilets and waste pump-out fi tting mounted at the
amidships deck. A monitor panel shared with the fresh
water system displays the waste tank level when activated.
If installed, a macerator (overboard discharge pump)
diverts waste from the wast tank through a hull bottom
seacock (where dumping laws permit).
Before activating seacock ensure the seacock is turned to
the straight (in line with the valve) position. Not opening
the seacock may cause pump damage or may on rare
occasion cause an erruption.
