5. Required Accessories
Operation of the vehicle requires various accessories that are not part of the delivery of the vehicle.
Components that are absolutely necessary:
• Rechargeable batteries or batteries for the transmitter (for type and required number, see operating instructions for
the remote control system)
• Rechargeable batteries or batteries (4x AA/Mignon) for the receiver, alternatively 5-cell hump battery pack
• Glow-plug starter with battery
• Charger for transmitter, receiver and/or glow plug starter battery
• Glow plug wrench
• Air filter oil
• Tank bottle
• Model fuel for RC vehicles, methanol/oil based
• Afterrun oil
We also recommended the following components for best use of the vehicle, we:
• Assembly base (for easier maintenance or test runs)
• Electrical model fuel pump (for filling and emptying the tank)
• Additional glow plugs, if required with different fuel value (to replace if worn or for operation with different RC model
car fuels or cold/hot ambience temperatures or different humidity)
• Tools (e.g. Size 17 socket wrenches for wheel change, screwdrivers, hexagon wrenches)
• Compressed air spray (for cleaning purposes)
• Spare tyres (to be able to quickly change run-down/damaged tyres)
• Threadlocker varnish (to fasten loosened screw connections again)
The spare parts list can be found on our website www.conrad.com in the download section for the respec-
tive product.
Alternatively, you may also call to request the list of spare parts. For contact information, see the chapter
„Introduction“ at the beginning of these operating instructions.
If the enclosed remote control system does not have an integrated fail safe function (see separately enc-
losed operating instructions on the remote control system), we also recommend a separate fail safe that is
inserted between receiver and throttle/brake servo.
If the transmitter signal fails, the fail-safe moves the throttle/brake service, e.g. into the neutral position or
operates the brake, so that the vehicle cannot drive on uncontrolled and there will not be any accident.
