Unpacking and Inspection
Open all the boxes before installing the components. Select a
suitable location for opening the box - do not expose the contents to
excessive humidity or extreme temperatures.
Verify that all expected components are present:
Verify that all components, cables, and accessories specified in
the packing list are present.
In case of any discrepancy, contact Gilat Engineering Product
Management department and do not proceed with the
installation until an explicit confirmation is received.
Check for damage:
Any damage to the shipping container or components should be
documented with photographs and a Service Request should be
opened through the Gilat Customer Web Portal.
Accessing the Gilat Customer Web Portal requires a user account
with a username and password. For more information, see Gilat
Support Services, on page 5 or contact the local Gilat representative
for assistance.
To unpack the system:
1. Unpack the shipping container in an indoor location isolated from the outdoor
climate.
2. Remove the inner cover and remove the contents.
3. Compare the equipment to the packing list enclosed in the container.
4. Carefully inspect all of the shipment contents. If any item is damaged, take
photographs and write a summary of the damage that can be sent to the
shipping agent and insurance company as required.

The shipping container is disposable. However, Gilat recommends
saving it in case the antenna needs to be shipped to another location
or sent for repairs.

application, type of vehicle, and other requirements.
