Rear Panel
The rear panel contains a number of ports and access covers. These are used for initial setup and maintenance.

The rear panel includes internationally recognized symbols for connection purposes.
Component
Function
Dryer Tube
Provides access to the dryer material, which should be replaced weekly. A message
displays every 7 days to replace the dryer material and every hour thereafter until the dryer
material is changed.

Dopant Chamber
Provides access to the chemical dopant tubes used to aid in the ionization process of the
detector. The dopants should be inspected monthly and replaced with new chemical
dopants, as required.

Power Button
Turns the device on and a green light illuminates or blinks depending upon certain
powering conditions. Press the power button again to turn the device
OFF
. The green light
is not illuminated.
• Solid - CPU is powered on running off DC or a good main battery.
• Slow Blink - CPU is powered on running off a low main battery.
• Fast Blink - CPU is powered on running off the backup battery.
NOTE:
The device is designed to be left
ON
continuously to keep the
detector hot.
