3.2 Pur g e of Supply Duct
If this heating u nit is to be installed indoors, and its
o u tdoor air s u pply d u cted from o u tdoors, ANSI
Standards Z83.18 and Z83.4 req u ire that all s u pply
d u ct shall be p u rged a minim u m of fo u r times prior to
any ignition attempt. If the v ol u me of the o u tdoor air
s u pply d u ct exceeds the heating u nit’s ability to
complete the req u ired fo u r air changes prior to
ignition, yo u m u st contact the factory to p u rchase an
extended p u rge card of the appropriate d u ration to
meet this req u irement.
3.3 Hardware
Unless other w ise specified, all hard w are m u st be
torq u ed to settings on Page 9, Table 1 .
Note: Inlet hood opening shall not be installed w ith
inlet opening facing into the pre v ailing w ind direction
in order to help pre v ent the possibility of moist u re
entrainment.
