20.6 Optional E q uipment
Dampers Check linkage w hen applicable and tighten set scre w s as req u ired. All mo v ing
parts of dampers sho u ld be cleaned and then thoro u ghly l u bricated w ith a
light molybden u m oil in aerosol can. Dampers f u rnished w ith stainless steel
side seals sho u ld also ha v e the seals l u bricated genero u sly. Dampers sho u ld
then be man u ally operated se v eral times u ntil linkages and blades operate
freely. Reconnect linkages and check dampers for proper operation.

Filters Filters sho u ld be checked for dirt restriction on a monthly basis (or as
req u ired). Replace filters w ith filters of eq u al specification w hen they appear
dirty.
NOTE: When u sing Rapid Engineering LLC s u pplied disposable polyester fil-
ters, they m u st be inserted w ith the w hite media side facing the inlet of filter
section. When u sing Rapid Engineering LLC s u pplied permanent al u min u m
mesh or disposable filters, they m u st be inserted w ith the arro w on the filter
pointing in the direction of airflo w (to w ard the air handler).
