CUTTING UNITS
a

The cutting units should be thoroughly
cleaned down to remove all accumulations of
grass clippings and debris.

b.

 Turn the cutting cylinders to clean the
cutting edges.

c.

Apply a little oil with a brush to the spiral
cutters to prevent rusting.

d.

Turn the cylinders slowly which will then
spread the oil onto the bottom blade.

WARNING: DO NOT turn the cutting cylinders by

hand.

e.

During end of season overhaul the hydraulic
motors should be removed and the gearboxes
should be cleaned out.

f.

Refill the gearbox with Shell Simnia 'O' grease
or Shell Retinax 'G' grease.  Approximate
quantity 0.1kg (0.22lbs) which should half fill
the gearbox.
