[1.3.199] Error Propagation
[1.3.200]
This section outlines how the Romley Platform Errors
are routed in Hardware to ensure appropriate BIOS and Firm-
ware action (logging, Fan control, system management, etc.) is
taken when an event occurs.

WHEA SUPPORT
[1.3.203]
Windows Hardware Error Architecture allows BIOS to
describe both architected and non architected errors to the Win-
dows operating system. The BIOS should publish WHEA ACPI
tables to report supported architeced errors and to report and
handle platform HW errors. In additional BIOS must implement
an _OSC method handler to ascertain if the Operating System
that is booted is WHEA capable and enable OS visible error
paths if enabled.
[1.3.204] PROCHOT#
[1.3.205]
PROCHOT# is a bi-directional signal. The SNB-EP /
IVB-EP Processor controller toggles PROCHOT# (OUTPUT
mode on SNB-EP / IVB-EP Processors) when it goes into throt-
tling mode. The duty cycle of PROCHOT# toggling over a
period of time indicates the amount of throttling initiated by the
SNB-EP / IVB-EP Processor cores. Firmware does not monitor
PROCHOT# to determine CPU throttling percentage. Instead, it
will obtain outbound SNB-EP / IVB-EP Processor throttling data
via the PECI interface (in the Baseboard the ASPEED
AST2300 will request this information from the Patsburg SSB
which is the PECI interface master.) The path between the
