Battery Cabinets
can enhance the protection time provided by your UPS by adding one or more battery
cabinets. The battery cabinets provided by the UPS manufacturer are equipped with
lead-acid, batteries in a cabinet that matches the UPS. Each
battery cabinet contains a battery circuit breaker. Several battery capacities are available.
The UPS battery cabinets can be Wiih this capability, you can your
battery backup time by adding battery cabinets to your UPS system. Most UPS models
can support up to four battery cabinets.
External battery disconnect
A breaker switch is located inside each battery cabinet supplied by the UPS manufacturer.
However, due to space limitations, your battery cabinets may not be located in the same
area as your UPS. An optional
DC circuit breaker provides a manual means of
disconnecting a battery that is located remotely from the UPS. breaker is
in a wall-mounted box. You can it anywhere between the remote DC
and the UPS, according to national and local codes.
The breaker witch should be set to ON for normal UPS operation, when CC power is
at me UPS. When service personnel are performing maintenance on UPS or
battery cabinet, the switch should be Off.
Interface Module
An optional relay interface module (RIM) uses relay contact to indicate the
operating status and alarm condition of the UPS system. You can up to two optional
accessories or Figure 21 shows the RIM, with its four 1 Spin connectors
labeled through J4.
