Testing & Adjustment
Dust Test
Required Test Equipment and Tools
• Power Computing Power PC or equivalent
• DMC Switching Power Supply
• Camera SCSI Cable
• Universal Camera Test Fixture (Nest)
• Dolan Jenner Light Source
• Black Tube (4 inch x 6 feet)
Equipment Setup (Figure 3-6)
1. Remove the lens as explained in section 4 of this repair manual.
2. Connect the SCSI cable from the host computer SCSI connector to the camera SCSI
connector.
Note:
When connecting or disconnecting SCSI cables, always make sure that
the computer is OFF. If the computer is ON (reading or writing to the
internal hard drive) while connecting or disconnecting the camera, the
computer could crash.
3. Connect the power adapter cable to the camera’s external power connector.
4. Place the camera onto the test fixture.
5. Turn on the test equipment as follows:
• Power Computing Power PC On/Off (0/1) switch to On (1).
• Dolan Jenner Light Source On/Off switch to On.
6. Turn on the camera as follows:
•
If applicable, set the SCSI ID to 4.
•
Set the Termination Selector to On (1).
•
Set Power Switch to On (1).
