Parts Replacement
8. Using the spanner nut tool, remove the spanner nut securing the anti-alias optical filter in the
optical mount.
Note: Make sure that the pins are properly inserted into the two (2) holes located on the
spanner nut being careful not to scratch or damage the anti-alias optical filter.
9. Hold the spanner nut tool securely while unthreading spanner nut from the optical mount.
Note: Downward pressure can cause the spanner nut to cross thread within the
optical mount.
10. Flip optical mount to slide out the anti-alias optical filter assembly.
Installation
1. Place the optical mount and shutter assembly into the optical mount fixture.
Note: Make sure that the optical mount is inserted into the optical mount fixture with the
thread side facing up and the motor on the shutter facing down.
2. Place the anti-alias optical assembly into the optical mount making sure that the two (2) legs
face down.
3. Align the legs of the anti-alias optical filter assembly to the spaces adjacent to the shutter
assembly.
Note: The legs sit astride the shutter.
4. Align the two (2) pins on the spanner nut tool to the two (2) holes located on the spanner nut.
5. Hold the spanner nut tool securely while threading spanner nut into the optical mount until
contact is made.
Note: No movement of the filter is permissible.
6. Place the optics assembly onto its front panel supports.
7. Insert the CCD imager into the optical mount making sure that the three (3) gold pads on the
CCD imager PC board are aligned with the three (3) plastic tabs on the optical mount.
