570 Service Manual

9.11

Use two open-end wrenches and loosen the outer
jam nut (D). Back out the outer jam nut (D) 1 1/2
turns.

Now hold the outer jam nut (D) and turn in the inner
jam nut (C) clockwise, until the jam nut is tight
against the bracket.

Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 until the proper
adjustment is obtained for the parking brake.

NOTE

See Chapter 10 for more information on the parking

brake switch.
