2.5.6 Remove the screws Figure 7 [19], washers Figure 7 [20], plate halves Figure 7 [21] and seal halves
Figure 7 [22].
2.5.7 Remove the lockwire from the bolts Figure 7 [18].
2.5.8 Remove the bolts Figure 7 [18] and the washers Figure 7 [17].
2.5.9 Remove the screws Figure 7 [11], washers Figure 7 [12], bolts Figure 7 [10], washers Figure 7 [9] and
support Figure 7 [8].
2.5.10 Remove the bottom front part Figure 7 [5] of the plenum from the engine.
2.5.11 Remove the bottom rear part Figure 7 [3] of the plenum from the engine.
2.5.12 Remove the top right part Figure 7 [6] of the plenum from the engine.
2.5.13 Remove the top left part Figure 7 [1] of the plenum from the engine.
2.6 Remove Pipes And Unions
2.6.1 Remove the lockwire from the bolts Figure 8 [1].
2.6.2 Remove the bolts Figure 8 [1], washers Figure 8 [2], the P2.5 pipe Figure 8 [3] and the gasket
Figure 8 [4] from the adapter Figure 8 [5].
2.6.3 Disconnect the test pipe Figure 8 [6] from the adapter Figure 8 [5].
2.6.4 Remove the two nuts Figure 8 [7] from the engine.
2.6.5 Remove the propeller cavity-drain pipe Figure 8 [9] from the fitting Figure 8 [14].
2.6.6 Remove the dump-valve drain pipe Figure 8 [15] from the valve Figure 8 [16].
2.6.7 Remove the drain pipes assembly Figure 8 [9] and Figure 8 [15] from the engine.
2.6.8 Loosen the nut Figure 8 [13] and remove the fitting Figure 8 [14], retainer Figure 8 [12] and O-ring
Figure 8 [11] from the reduction gearbox Figure 8 [10]. Discard the retainer Figure 8 [12] and O-ring
Figure 8 [11].
2.6.9 Remove the union Figure 8 [23] and O-ring Figure 8 [22] from the HP pump Figure 8 [21]. Discard the
O-ring Figure 8 [22].
2.6.10 Remove the union Figure 8 [25] from the starter/generator drain on the accessory gearbox
Figure 8 [24].
2.6.11 Remove the lockwire from the quick drain Figure 8 [28].
2.6.12 Remove the quick drain Figure 8 [28] and O-ring Figure 8 [27] from the engine oil tank Figure 8 [26].
Discard the O-ring Figure 8 [27].
3 Build-Up
Note
When an engine is removed from, or installed in, an aircraft which has the optional Cold Weather
Preheat System, it must be replaced with an engine that has the correct heating elements installed (110
VAC or 230 VAC).
Note
Let the oil drain from the engine when you open the connections.
3.1 Install Pipes And Unions
3.1.1 Install the quick drain Figure 8 [28] and new O-ring Figure 8 [27] in the engine oil tank Figure 8 [26].
3.1.2 Safety the quick drain Figure 8 [28] with Lockwire (standard) (Pt.No. P02-007).
3.1.3 Remove the union supplied with the engine and install the union Figure 8 [25] in the starter/generator
drain in the accessory gearbox Figure 8 [24].
