Procedure
1
General
This procedure is applicable to the left and right main wheels. There are two different main wheels
and brake assemblies available; manufactured by either Goodrich or Parker. The wheels by one
manufacturer are not interchangeable with the brake assembly from the other. It is important to make
sure the correct type of wheel is installed when the main wheel is replaced.
When a tire is found deflated, remove the wheel and examine the three thermal relief plugs in the
wheel inner hub. If the plugs have melted because of too much heat from the brake unit, the wheel
and brake unit must be examined in accordance with their component maintenance manual.
