For drain valves which do not have a replaceable O ring while the valve is installed, refer to AMM 12-
B-28-10-02-00A-920A-A.
2 Replace the O Ring Seal
Refer to Fig. 1 .

removed for clarity. You do not need to remove the screws Figure 1 [3] and the retainer Figure 1 [2] to
replace the O ring Figure 1 [4] .
2.1 Use the Fuel sample unit (Pt.No. T12-020) to push and turn the drain valve Figure 1 [1] clockwise so
that the valve mechanism drops out of the valve body and you can see the O ring Figure 1 [4].
2.2 Remove and discard the O ring Figure 1 [4].
2.3 Install a new O ring (Pt.No. CSN 28200008 240 28200010 165 ) Figure 1 [4] on the valve mechanism.
2.4 Use the Fuel sample unit (Pt.No. T12-020) to gently push the valve mechanism into the valve body
and turn it counter-clockwise to close the valve mechanism.
2.5 Make sure that the drain valve Figure 1 [1] does not leak.
2.6 If the drain valve leaks, replace the drain valve, refer to AMM 12-B-28-10-02-00A-920A-A.
2.7 Remove all equipment and tools from the work area. Make sure that the work area is clean.
