EASYTOUCH PL4/PSL4 CONTROL SYSTEM WIRELESS CONTROLLER:
Settings Menu: Backlight
Use the backlight “On Time” option to set the duration that the backlight will stay on. The “Brightness” setting
allows you to set the backlight brightness. These options can help to reduce power consumption and extend
battery life. The Backlight options are:
•
On Time:
Backlight will stay on for 60 seconds, 30 seconds, five minutes, or “Backlight” feature is
off. The default setting is 30 seconds.
•
Brightness:
Backlight brightness can be set to low, medium or high. The default setting is medium.

To set the backlight duration and brightness:

for the backlight to stay
on.
Right button:
Select
LOW, MED or HI
for the backlight brightness setting.
Press the Back button to save the settings and to return to the previous screen.
Settings Menu: Wireless Addr
Use this feature to assign the EasyTouch
®
PL4/PSL4 Control System Wireless Controller a unique
communication address to allow the wireless device to operate with the EasyTouch PL4/PSL4 Control
System outdoor control panel (see page 64).

To search and lock on to the EasyTouch PL4/PSL4 Control System wireless controller:

Right button:
Press this button to automatically search and lock on to the
Wireless Controller within range of the transceiver antenna.

Press the
Menu
button to save the settings and to return to the Settings
menu selections.
Important Note:
1. After you plug in a transceiver or power up the unit, wait at least 60 seconds before addressing the unit.
2. If the wireless unit times out and power off before locking on the address, set the auto power off time to
5 minutes then start the addressing. Remember to set it back to 1 minute after it is working or battery
life is greatly decreased.
3. If you are working with multiple sets of transceivers and handhelds make sure you keep them separated
into sets.
