11.5 Connection, Setting and Installation
The FP1 I/O link unit is the interface to connect an FP1 and FP2/FP2SH/FP3/FP10SH.
Connect with the FP1.
The procedure to connect the I/O link unit is as follows.
Be sure to connect or remove the transmission cable or expansion cable to the I/O link unit only when
all power is OFF.
11.5.1 Connecting to FP1
With an FP1 expansion cable (flat cable), you can connect the expansion connector of the FP1 control
unit and expansion connector of the FP1 I/O link unit.

Only one I/O link unit can be connected to one FP1 control unit.

An FP1 expansion unit can be connected after an I/O link unit.An I/O link unit can be connected after
an FP1 expansion unit.The number of connectable expansion units is the same regardless of whether
the I/O link unit is connected or not.
