B. Black background
Some applications have a function for cropping and saving only the image of a
document on a black background without having to specify the size of the document
to be scanned. A black background is required when using such applications.
The scanner

can switch between a white and black
background by rotating the reference plate and flatbed sheet. For more details, refer
