Direct Transmission

Documents can be transmitted immediately on scanning without storing into memory. Direct
transmission is more convenient in situations as shown below.
• When you want to send the documents right away.
• When you want to send a large amount of documents.

z

Direct transmission cannot be used to send documents to multiple destinations.

z

Memory transmission may switch automatically to Direct transmission when memory overflow occurs during
document scanning.

z

Memory transmission is the standard setting on the machine, however, it can be changed to Direct
transmission by setting the Function Parameter “

” (Fax/Email Settings > Fax Parameters).
