This window (see Figure 69 below) enables you to configure communication options. Communication with the
Aurora takes place over a serial ( ‘comm’ ) port, or via Modbus/TCP over Ethernet if the Aurora is so equipped. Choose
the preferred method to use from the Modbus Interface drop down menu:

For Serial (see Figure 70 below), choose the comm port to use from the list of available ports. By default, AuroraView
specifies 115200 bps, 8 data bits, even parity, and 1 stop-bit, which is also the default in the Aurora. If you have more
than one Aurora H2O on an RS485 network, you will have to establish a different NETWORK ID for each analyzer, using
the keypad on the Aurora H2O.
For
TCP (see Figure 70 below), specify the IP address of the Aurora, as described in “IP Address Assignment” on
page 5 . Unless required by your network infrastructure, do not change the Ethernet Port value from the default of 502.
