About these instructions
Read the safety information and only use the product as described in these instructions so as
to avoid any accidental harm or injury. Keep these instructions for future use. If you give this
shaver to another person you must also give him/her these instructions.
The word DANGER warns of possible serious injury and risk of death.
The word WARNING warns of possible serious injury or harm..
The word BE CAREFUL warns of possible minor injury or harm.
The shaver’s spring operated foil, with its aluminium finish, provides special care for your skin.
The device is operated by a high performance motor.
Thanks to its high protection classification (IPX4), the shaver can also be used in the shower.
These instructions will enable you to familiarise yourself with the body shaver for men and
make its use simple.
It is essential that you follow the safety information to prevent accidents, injury or material harm.
Keep the instructions in a safe place for future reference.
Intended use
The body shaver is approved only for personal use and not for commercial purposes.
The device is intended for cutting natural hair and must only be used on human hair.
The guarantee will be invalidated if it is used for any other purpose.
Safety instructions
Observe the following instructions in order to prevent electric shock and/or fire which could
endanger your life:
- Never submerge the recharger base or the adaptor in water and/or any other liquid.
- When removing the adaptor, pull it by its body and not by the cable.
- Never plug the cable into the wall socket or unplug it with wet hands.
- The installation of a 30mA circuit breaker in the home offers further protection against
electric shock. Such installation must only be carried out by a specialist technician.
- Connect the adaptor to a 230-240 volt earthed socket.
- To avoid an unacceptable increase in temperature, do not cover the adaptor.
- Check the recharger base, the adaptor and the body shaver periodically to detect any
mechanical defect.
- Keep the recharger base, the adaptor and the body shaver beyond the reach of children
as they do not always understand the possible dangers.
- Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician or by an authorised technical
service agent.
- Never try to repair a defective appliance yourself.
- Avoid the cable becoming trapped in cupboard doors or being placed on hot surfaces,
as this may result in damage to the cable’s insulation. Danger of electric shock!
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his authorised
technical agent or by a qualified technician, so as to avoid any risk.
Follow the instructions below to avoid injury:
- The cutting accessories are very sharp. Do not use the shaver with a defective accessory
or cutting head, because if you do so there is a risk of injury.
- Do not use the shaver on open wounds, cuts, sunburn or blisters.
- Only connect the device to a wall socket that complies with the information given on the
product label that you will find on the base of the recharger.
- Do not subject the shaver to temperatures of below –10 ° or above +40 °C.
- Clean the device after each use.
- Dry the shaver properly before putting it back in the recharger base.
- This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) whose physical,
sensorial or mental state prevents them from using it safely or who lack the necessary
experience or knowledge, unless they do so under the supervision of another person
responsible for their safety or if they are given instructions from such a person regarding
how to use the appliance.
Before using the appliance
- Never touch the base of the recharger or the electric adaptor with wet hands when they
are connected to the mains supply (i.e when in the process of recharging).
BE CAREFUL! If the shaver is wet do not place it on the recharger base.
- This men’s body shaver can only be used with the battery and cannot be connected
directly to the mains power supply.
Recharging the battery
- Charge the shaver for at least 12 hours before using it for the first time.
- Place the shaver on the recharger base. The contact points at the rear of the shaver
must touch the contacts on the recharger base.
- Connect the electric adaptor cable to the recharger base.
- Connect the adaptor to an earthed mains power socket (230-240V).
- The indicator light will light up red and indicates that the shaver is charging.
- The shaver can operate by battery for approximately 45 minutes.
To prolong the life of the battery, only recharge it when it is totally discharged.
Operation
BE CAREFUL! Do not use the shaver with components or cutting accessories that are
damaged.
The body shaver for men is suitable for use in the shower (protection classification IPX4).
The Wet & Dry function enables wet or dry skin to be shaved.
