Making calls
There are several ways to make a call. Try
them all to find out which way you like
best.
Dialing using the onscreen Dial Pad
1 Press Phone .
2 Select the Dial Pad tab.
3 Enter the phone number by tapping the
onscreen Dial Pad with the stylus.
4 Press Send to make the call.
Dialing using the keyboard
1 Press Phone .
2 Press the numbered keys to enter the
phone number. (You don’t need to press
Option.)
DID YOU KNOW
?
You can choose which tab
appears when you press the Phone button.
See Customizing the Main tab in the Phone
application for details. If you change the
default tab, you need to modify the steps in
this chapter accordingly.
TIP
Press Backspace to delete numbers
you’ve entered. To cancel the call altogether,
press
Phone to return to the Main tab in the
Phone application.
DID YOU KNOW
?
You can paste numbers
directly into the Dial Pad. Copy a number from
another application, press
Phone and select
the Dial Pad tab. Open the Edit menu and
select Paste . Press Send to dial the number.
