7.4 Zeroing Procedure
Shut off the downstream valve completely. The sensor tube must be completely filled with the process
fluid and at the operating temperature ± 10 °C.
CAUTION:
1. The process fluid must fill the sensor body completely and be completely at zero flow.
2. Unless it is at zero flow, accurate zeroing can not be achieved.
3. Carefully check for possible leaks at the shutoff valve, etc.
◆
Zero adjustment comes in the following three approaches:
◆
7.4.1 Through the Key on LCD Display
Also see Sections "6.3.1 About Key Operation" and "6.3.2 Key Scroll." For "Simple Mode" which permits
zeroing through key operation without "SEt PASS (acceptance declaration)" setup, see Section 7.4.4.
Adjustment procedure (Steps to operate the LCD display key)
(at standard "Security mode" setup)
(1) Steps to declare acceptance ("SEt PASS" setup)

4. "PASS" screen appears. 3 seconds later, it automatically returns to F1 (mass flowrate) screen. From
the moment the screen returned to F1 (mass flowrate), the acceptance is declared.
5. Remember that absence of any command after the screen changes to "PASS" and "

for more than 5 seconds brings up "SEt PASS" screen again. Removing your finger in less than 5
seconds in steps 2 and 3 above also causes the screen to go back to "SEt PASS."
(2) Zeroing procedure
1.
Following the acceptance declaration ("SEt PASS" setup) in step (1) above, zeroing capability is
enabled for 5 minutes.
Attempting to zero without acceptance declaration brings up "Abort" message, preventing to start
the zeroing process.
2. At F1 (mass flowrate) screen, hold your finger closer to "

" for a period between 5 and 7 seconds.
3. "ZEro" screen appears. When the screen changes, remove the finger for more than one second.
