4.8 How to Change Transmitter Display Orientation
The transmitter display may be rotated through 360° in steps of 90° within the housing. By changing the
display orientation, you can obtain the best LCD viewability even in a vertical pipeline.
◆
Steps to change orientation
①
Using hex key, loosen lock screw (M4) securing the
display cover.
②
Using a flat tool, carefully turn the display cover
counterclockwise and hand rotate it further until the
cover comes off.
③
Using plain screwdriver, take off screws (4 places)
holding the LCD faceplate and remove the faceplate.
④
By pulling the display unit toward you, extract it.
⑤
The display unity is rotatable in 90° steps. Make sure
of the locations of connector pins on the transmitter
body and the socket on the display unit.
⑥
At the desired physical orientation of the display unit,
rotatable in 90°
steps, align the four unit guide pins
with four mating guide holes and install into place by
pressing it along its axis.
After determining the physical orientation of display, install the LCD display faceplate, display cover, and
cover lock setscrews.
CAUTION: Install the display cover to the housing securely by tightening with a flat tool, ensuring
that clearance exists before tightening the setscrews.
CAUTION: Changing display orientation may possibly alter sensor sensitivity to the extent of
responding to the glass cover, or dull the sensitivity. Following a change in orientation,
be sure to test sensor sensitivity. If necessary, readjust it according to Sec. 8.2 "About
Optical Sensor Sensitively Adjustment".
CAUTION: Be sure to turn off power and discharge your
static electricity before you work
