5.2 Power Supply Lines and
Ground Terminals
(1) Power source is connected to terminals
LINE/
+
and NEUT/
-
.
(2) Connection to earth ground terminal connect-
ed to either EARTH terminal, GND terminal,
INT ground terminal, or EXT ground terminal.
Required earth ground grade differs between
a power supply line which has a ground wire
and one which does not.
CAUTION: Supply voltage must be within
the range specified in the product
nameplate attached to the housing.
5.3 Analog Output Wiring Connections
When analog output (4
to
20mA) is to be connected to a receiving instrument, Analog Output 1
has terminals 9 (
+
) and 10 (
-
) while Analog Output 2 has terminals 7 (
+
) and 8 (
-
). Maximum load
resistance is 600Ω. For signal transmission over a longer run, shielded twist pair is suggested. In this
case, ground the shield wire to terminal G of the transmitter while the other end of shield wire is left cut
off at the receiving instrument.
5.4 Pulse Output Wiring Connections
When pulse output is to be connected to a receiving instrument, make wiring connections to terminals
1 (
+
) and 2 (
-
). If a shielded wire is used, connect the shield to terminal G of the transmitter similar to
Section 5.3 Analog Output Wiring Connections.
If a third-party receiving instrument is used, refer to the instruction manual for that receiving instrument
for required input voltage and current.
5.5 Status Output Wiring Connections
Status output appears across terminals 3 (
+
) and 4 (
-
). The output is of open collector: OFF in erratic
conditions; ON in normal conditions. You can select status output from errors (default), flow directions,
and Hi/Low alarms.
5.6 Status Input Wiring Connections
Shorting terminals 5 (
+
) and 6 (
-
) for more than 0.3 second enables the function. You can select status
input from zero adjust, total counter reset, and all outputs at 0% fixed.
