14 Status and error Messages
The status and error messages below are listed in alphabetical order.
Error message Cause Solution
• Battery charge low. • Replace the battery before con-
tinuing with the test.
Cal FAIL • Stimulus level calibration failed. • Ensure stable probe place-ment;
avoid noise.
Change Battery • Battery empty < 5.5 Volt. • Replace the battery before con-
tinuing with the test.
Clock bat low • Clock battery discharged. • Contact your service depart-
ment (battery lifetime > 2 years).
Codec failure
Note:
Following the mes-
sage "Codec failure",
the device is switched
off automatically
• Codec is defect. • Contact your service depart-
ment.
Interference! (during
ABR test only)
• Ambient interference • Try to eliminate interference
sources. See Section 5.5.1, ‘Plac-
ing electrodes for ABR testing”
on page 35 .
LCD test failed • LCD is defective. • Contact your service depart-
ment.
LED flashes, digit
code is shown
• Run-time error. • Make a note of the code and
contact your service depart-
ment.
No printer connected • Printer is not connected to the
device.
• Printer is turned off.
• Connect printer to the device.
• Switch on printer.
No probe • Probe not connected to device • Connect probe to device
Out of labels • No labels in printer. • Refill labels.
Paper jam • Labels not correctly adjusted. • Adjust labels.
