5.6 Preparing the AccuScreen PRO
1. Press OK to switch on the AccuScreen PRO. A 5-second bat-
tery test is carried out automatically.
When you switch on the device, the control LED lights up in
red and green for approximately 1 second.
The display shows the configuration of the device and the
software version.
After the battery test, the Main Menu appears automatically.
From the Main Menu you can access all functions available
in the AccuScreen PRO.
2. If this is the first test of the day, carry out a probe test to make
sure that the probe is functioning correctly. See
Section 11.1.1,
‘Probe test” on page 72 .
Caution:
Insert only disinfected probe tips in the test cavity. If required, see
Section 12.1.5, ‘Cleaning and disinfecting the test cavity” on
page 84
.
3. If you are going to do an ABR test, make sure the stimulus
level setting is correct, See
Section 11.4.2, ‘ABR stimulus level
setting” on page 79 .
4. Select Test from the Main Menu .
You can download patient data in advance from the AccuLink
database (see AccuHelp for downloading patient data via a
PC).
5. A list of patients appears. Scroll to select a patient and press
OK or press ADD to add a new patient.
6. If you have selected a patient, the screen
CHECK PATIENT
DATA
appears. Check the data to make sure that you have
selected the correct patient. Press
OK
to continue.
