AccuScreen PRO User Manual
Regular cleaning
1.
To remove the probe tip (A) press the button (B) while you
carefully push the probe tip upwards out of the probe body.
2.
Use the cleaning wire (C) to take out the acoustic filter disc (D)
from the probe tip.
3.
Use the cleaning wire (C) to clean the sound channels of the
probe from the rear.
Note:
Remember to clean the cleaning wire, especially when it pro-
trudes from the probe tip.
For procedures on cleaning with water and/or disinfectant, as
well as sterilization, see
Section 12.1.4, ‘Cleaning and disinfect-
.
4.
Make sure that the sound channels are completely dry before
you fit the tip back onto the probe body, or use a spare probe
tip.
Caution:
Even the slightest amount of moisture may dissolve any resid-
ual cerumen and thus contaminate the sensitive parts in the
body of the probe.
Caution:
The probe body contains sensitive components.
Never clean the
sound apertures
in the probe body mechanically or with liquids.
Doing so may cause damage to the probe.
For periodical cleaning of the probe body please contact your au-
thorized service department.
