Incorrect handling, applying excessive charging current or reversing
the poles, can overcharge or destroy the battery pack.
Also:
• Do not open, alter or dismantle the battery pack.
• Do not place the battery pack in contact with metal objects.
• The terminals must under no circumstance be short-circuited.
4.5.5 Increasing service life
• Use only the recommended charging unit.
• Charge the battery pack at room temperature whenever possi-
ble.
• Do not drop the battery pack or expose it to sharp impact.
• Store in a cool, dry place.
• Keep the battery pack's terminals clean. (Clean with a soft
cloth if necessary).
4.5.6 Environmental Protection
When the NiMH battery looses its capacity to be charged, make sure
that it is disposed of according to local environmental regulations, or
return it to your dealer.
Note:
NiMH batteries can be recycled!
Note:
Damage resulting from failure to observe the operating instructions
will invalidate all warranty claims. The manufacturers take no re-
sponsibility for damage resulting from negligence.
4.6 Data/printer interface
Caution:
You can connect a label printer via a special printer cable.
For reasons of safety, testing cannot be carried out as long as the la-
bel printer with external power supply is connected to the Accu-
Screen PRO. During this time the test function is automatically cut
off.
