Optical Fiber Cables
All Plastic Optical Fiber Cable (APF)
• APF cable up to 20 m long can be used with Link Adapters with model numbers ending in the “-P” suffix.
• APF cable can not be used with Link Adapters without the “-P” suffix at the end of the model number.
• Connectors must be attached to the ends of the B500-PF002 cable by the user.
• The B500-TL101 Optical Connector Puller is no longer being produced.
Plastic Clad Optical Fiber Cable (PCF)
• PCF cable up to 200 m long can be used with Link Adapters with model numbers ending in the “-P” suffix.
• PCF cable up to 800 m long can be used with Link Adapters without the “-P” suffix at the end of the model
number.
• The cable lengths in the table above do
not
include the optical connectors at both ends of the cable.
• Since optical fiber cable cannot be cut and spliced easily like ordinary electrical cables, be sure to add
some extra length to the cable length when ordering.
