CVM1-LK401 Switch Settings
Section 3-3
In the CVM1-LK401, the node address is set in 2-digit decimal with the NODE
NO. rotary switches on the front of the Unit. The ¥10
1
switch sets the tens digit
and the 10
0
switch sets the ones digit.
• Use a thin, standard screwdriver to set the rotary switches. The setting
ranges are 00 to 31 for single-level operation and 00 to 15 for multi-level
operation. If the setting exceeds the allowed range, a communications
error will be detected and the ERC Indicator will be lit.
• The Unit with node address 0 polling node in the PC Link. The number of
Link Relay bits per Unit is set on the polling node. Refer to
the Number of LR Bits (Max. Number of PC Link Units)
for details.
C500-LK009-V1 Node Address Settings
1 = ON and 0 = OFF
Note
There will be data errors in the LR Area if the same node address is set on
two PC Link Units in the same operating level. This condition is not detected
as a Unit error, so be sure to check the node address settings.
3-3-3
Setting the Number of LR Bits (Max. Number of PC Link Units)
When the PC Link Unit’s node address is set to 0, that Unit is the polling node
and its Number of LR Bits setting sets the number of LR bits/Unit in that PC
Link. This setting is not required on any Units with non-zero node addresses
(polled nodes). The Number of LR Bits settings on polled nodes are ignored.
• Check whether the node address setting on the C500-LK009-V1 is node 0
(pins 1 to 5 all OFF).
• If the C500-LK009-V1 was node 0, set the Number of LR Bits setting on
the CVM1-LK401 too.
