Section 2-3
A node address setting error will
not
occur if the same node address is set on
two PC Link Units. Be sure to set a unique address on each Unit.
Unit Number Setting
Switches (UNIT No.)
These switches set the Unit’s unit number as a CPU Bus Unit. Set a unique
unit number in 2-digit decimal. Do not set the same unit number already set
on another CPU Bus Unit mounted in the same PLC.
Node Address Setting
Switches (NODE No.)
• These switches set the Unit’s node address in the PC Link system in 2-
digit decimal. Each PC Link Unit in the same operating level must have a
unique node address. Do not set the same node address already set on
another PC Link Unit in the same operating level.
• If the node address setting is out-of-range (outside of 0 to 31 for single-
level operation or 0 to 15 for multi-level operation), a node address setting
error will occur and the PC Link will not start.
Note
A node address setting error will
not
occur if the same node address is set on
two PC Link Units in the same operating level, but there will be data errors in
the LR Area
