Using the CX3641 Features
The CX3641 has many features to help you get the best possible scan
for your needs. This section describes some of the scanning settings
in-depth. It includes information that will help you generate the best-
quality scans to achieve the best-quality finished product.
NOTE:
Not all scan settings are available for each CX3641 function.
Basic Scanning Rules
•
Scan at the highest resolution appropriate to the nature of the
source material.
•
Scan at the highest resolution appropriate to how the scanned file
is intended to be used.
•
Scan at an appropriate level of quality to avoid having to re-scan
and re-handle originals — i.e., scan once.
•
For images that will be reused frequently, you may want to create
and store a master image file that can be used to produce
derivative image files and serve a variety of future needs.
