Preparing for installation
•
A socket must be installed on site for power supply. The supplied power cable
is approx. 1 m long.
•
Check the door for stability and re-tighten the screws and nuts on the door.
•
Check the door for correct movement and lubricate the shafts and bearings.
Additionally, also check the pretension of the springs, and adjust if necessary.
•
Dismantle any door latches (bolt plate and catches).
•
For garages without a second entrance, an emergency release (accessory) is
required.
•
If the garage door is a wicket/pass door, install the wicket door contact first.

Mounting the garage door operator
Follow the instructions as shown on the A3 Instruction poster.
NOTICE
Check the supplied screws and wall plugs to make sure that they are
suitable for the structural condition on the installation site.
Impact or falling hazard!
Persons can be hit or knocked over by the garage door.
•
Make sure that the door does not project into public footpaths or
roads.
Crush hazard!
Some parts of the latching devices on the existing garage door can
form pinch or shear points.
•
If necessary, remove hazardous parts before installation.

Installation
Choosing the installation side

Choose the installation side in accordance with the structural conditions on site. The standard
installation side is on the right (as viewed from inside). For special installation situations, see 11
and 12.
Spray the rail with silicone spray to achieve optimum running characteristics (Do not use oil-
containing substances).
Fitting the toothed belt
2a
Use the upper rail of the door for fitting the drive unit.
Place the toothed belt in the rail. The back of the toothed belt must point upward.
On the door side, insert the end of the toothed belt into the tail end.

Pull the ball handle to disengage the drive wheel.

Feed the toothed belt through the drive wheels of the motor head as shown.
2d
Insert the drive unit with the drive wheels into the upper rail.
2e
Place the toothed belt profile stop underneath the toothed belt.
